Let It Out

Another year has passed and I have the same post - I'm back...I'm back online. scary.

I'm back! I'm back! I'm actually online again. I have much to do to have a computer friendly home but for now - I am sitting at an ancient old desktop that is happily chugging away. Hooray. Now if I can just figure out how to coordinate the other computers and get back in touch with everybody. I wonder what my new email is? I wonder if it works? I wonder if this is actually getting posted.
I have SO much to say - if I am actually back up and running.

I've been thinking about blogging.....planned on blogging.....but for many reasons have not actually sat down til now. It's been busy, but a good kind of busy. Computer issues have haunted me since Halloween or so. Even today I have no idea if my email has been fixed or not. Probably not. My provider that I've been with since 1999 does not help the way they used to. Things are slower and somehow I've gotten on spam lists. Arg.
Time to go look at some of my favorite blogs. Hopefully there is lots to read because they all have been blogging.

Yay!! I'm going to have an opportunity to use my brain again. I'm going to have a college course this fall. I have absolutely no curriculum and figure I'll be making about $3. an hour by the time I do the work - but I don't care. I'm excited about it and plan to do some activism by getting these people exposed to ideas that they would not normally be fed in first year college, or maybe college at all. Best of all, it's a course I took many years ago (it seems) so I feel like I'm coming full circle. Now I'm leading it. Yay for me!

Wow - it's been a while. I am very busy all day and seem to not get on the computer at night very often. Those who have been keeping in touch with me through email are highly annoyed. When I am working somewhere I think to blog but do not have the very convenient "blog this" thingie on the task bar like at home. I really need to get the laptop going to be more organized I think.
Life is ok. The worries I have are all those of the single working mother. Money, time, activities.
My most recent trauma was the dreaded child care subsidy review. It plagues my thoughts for weeks before and leaves me feeling like a criminal. Yuk. Where is Paul Martins national childcare program? It is likely about as possible to happen now as when the Liberal's promised it when Chretien got voted in. sigh.
Weather here is awesome. Warmth and sunshine make me a happy happy camper. Being outdoors and active is the best.

Here I am in Nova Scotia. Cannot get opn my own laptop. So much for helpful and quick technology!

It's been a long time since I've sat here. A few attempts that had technical difficulties. The writing is done for now. The job hunt has been slow. I'm lucky enough to have been getting enough work to keep some food on the table - and the table. But...the debts are getting higher. Something has got to kick in fairly soon I think. Moods are up and down and the pace seems very busy because I'm flying between workplaces and interviewing a lot.A lot of errands had been put off for a long time also which have caught up with me.
I had a great dinner last night which was a nice time connecting with people I miss.I need to be doing more of that but the switch back to being out of the house all day has meant I'm exhausted by night. And then no magic fairy has been in to do the time consuming house crap that seems to accumulate even when no one is home. Really though life is pretty good. I am glad to be back around people for the most part.Now I"m on 'holiday' for 10 days. I hope to relax and learn all about my laptop which I don't have a clue how to work. Also I want to read junk books. yay.
